1 Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing or using Mileback, you agree to these Terms of Service and to the Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

2 The service

Mileback logs the drives you take, lets you sort them as business or personal, keeps track of work expenses and receipts, and estimates your mileage deduction at the IRS standard mileage rate. It creates reports you can use with your tax records. Your data is stored on your iPhone.

The free version lets you add trips by hand, sort trips, track expenses and see your totals. Mileback Pro adds automatic trip tracking with the Live Activity, receipt scanning, and PDF and CSV reports.

3 Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Mileback, and old enough to enter into a binding agreement where you live (or have a parent or guardian's permission) to buy a subscription.

4 Subscriptions, free trial and cancellation

Yearly

Auto-renewing yearly subscription, with a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers.

Monthly

Auto-renewing monthly subscription.

Prices are shown in the app and on the App Store before you buy, in your local currency, and those are the prices that apply. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase or, with a free trial, when the trial ends.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price and period unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your iPhone's Settings → your name → Subscriptions. If you cancel during a free trial, you won't be charged. Cancelling stops future renewals; Pro stays active until the end of the period you've paid for.

Purchases are processed by Apple, so refunds are handled under Apple's policies and can be requested at reportaproblem.apple.com.

5 Not tax advice

Mileback helps you keep records and shows estimates. It is not tax, legal or accounting advice, and DhruvLabs is not a tax preparer. Deductions are calculated with the IRS standard mileage rate in effect on the day of each trip, as published by the IRS; other methods (such as actual expenses) and your personal situation may give a different result. Savings estimates are illustrations, not promises.

You are responsible for the accuracy of your records and your tax return, including whether each trip was really for business. For advice about your situation, talk to a qualified tax professional.

6 Automatic tracking

Automatic trip detection depends on your iPhone's location and motion services, your settings, battery and signal, and can occasionally miss a trip, split one, or record one that wasn't a drive. Review your trips and correct or add them as needed; you can add any trip by hand.

7 Drive safely

Never use Mileback while driving in a way that distracts you or breaks the law. Mileback is designed to work without you touching your phone while you drive; sort trips and add receipts only when you're safely parked.

8 Your content

Your trips, receipts, notes and other records are yours. DhruvLabs doesn't claim ownership of them and doesn't receive them. Because your data is stored on your iPhone, keeping a backup (for example with iCloud Backup or by exporting reports) is your responsibility.

9 Acceptable use

• Don't use Mileback to track another person's location without their knowledge and consent.
• Don't use the app to create false or misleading records.
• Don't try to reverse-engineer, copy or resell the app beyond what the law allows.
• Don't use the app in any way that violates applicable law.

10 Intellectual property

Mileback's design, code, illustrations and branding are owned by DhruvLabs. You receive a personal, non-transferable license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store's usage rules.

11 Apple

These terms are between you and DhruvLabs only, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Mileback. If Mileback fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app. DhruvLabs, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, consumer protection and intellectual-property claims. You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

12 Disclaimer and limitation of liability

Mileback is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. Distances, deductions and reports are estimates based on your device's data and the information you enter. To the maximum extent permitted by law, DhruvLabs isn't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, including tax penalties, interest or lost deductions, arising from your use of the app.

13 Termination

You can stop using Mileback at any time by deleting it; you can erase your data first in Settings → Data & privacy. We may suspend access for users who violate these terms.

14 Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the app evolves, for example when new features or plans are introduced. The "Last updated" date above shows the most recent revision, and continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.

15 Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. This does not take away any rights you have under the consumer protection laws of the place where you live.
