How Amoro, developed under the DSLR Labs brand, collects and handles your data.
Last updated: 30 October 2026
1 What we collect and why
Amoro is developed and operated by Lilu Ram, doing business as DSLR Labs (“DSLR Labs”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
- Email address & basic profile
- Collected when you create your account with Google Sign-In (or Sign in with Apple on iPhone; Apple may give us a private relay address). Used as your sign-in identity and for account recovery. We do not collect or store a password.
- Your name
- You tell us what he should call you. Used so he can talk to you by name.
- Date of birth
- You enter it when you set up. Used to confirm you are 18 or older and to switch adult-only features on or off.
- Time zone
- Read from your phone so he can greet you at the right time of day and send messages at sensible hours.
- Your boyfriend’s settings
- His name, look, personality, voice and mood, as you choose them.
- Chat messages
- The messages you send and his replies, stored so your conversation continues across sessions and devices.
- Memories, a running note and interests
- Short facts he saves from your chats (for example a pet’s name), a short private summary note about you, and a few interest tags, so he can remember you. You can review and delete memories in the app, and turn off “Let him remember me” at any time.
- Portraits, photos and voice notes
- His AI-generated portrait, any pictures he sends, voice notes he records, and a picture you choose to upload for him if you want to. These are stored in private storage that only your account can read.
- Voice calls
- During a call your phone streams microphone audio directly to Google’s Gemini Live service and plays back his voice. The audio does not pass through our servers and we do not record or store it. We store only that a call happened and how long it lasted, to charge coins.
- Coins and purchases
- Your coin balance and a ledger of coins earned and spent, plus whether you have a subscription or Daily Pass. Payments are handled by Google Play (or the App Store); we never see your card details.
- Push notification token
- Only if you allow notifications, so he can send you a good-morning message or check in.
- Usage counters
- How many messages you have sent today and the estimated cost of the AI services used for your account, to enforce free allowances and fair-use limits. We do not use advertising or third-party analytics SDKs.
2 How your messages are used by AI services
Amoro’s boyfriends are AI. To write his replies, your recent messages, your name, your age, what he has remembered about you and his personality instructions are sent to AI services run by other companies. We do not use your chats, photos or memories to train AI models, and we do not sell your data or show you ads. Those providers process the data to return a result, under their own API terms.
- OpenAI
- Writes his chat replies.
- DeepInfra
- Backup provider for chat replies if the main one is unavailable.
- Google (Gemini API and Gemini Live)
- Creates his portrait and pictures, speaks his voice notes, handles live voice calls, and acts as a second backup for chat replies. Also provides Google Sign-In.
3 Where your data lives, and who else processes it
- Supabase
- Our database, sign-in service and private file storage. Your data is stored on servers in Sydney, Australia, protected with encryption in transit and at rest, and access rules that allow only your own account to read your rows and files.
- RevenueCat
- Manages subscription and purchase status. Receives an account identifier and purchase receipts from Google Play or the App Store; never your chats or photos.
- Expo notification service
- Delivers push notifications, through Google’s or Apple’s notification networks, if you turn notifications on.
- Google Play / Apple App Store
- Process your payments and supply the app.
Because we and our providers operate in several countries, your information may be processed in Australia, the United States and other countries.
4 Adults only, and safety
Amoro is for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18; if we learn that we have, we will delete the account.
Amoro is not a medical, mental-health or emergency service. If you tell him you may hurt yourself, automated checks on your message can show you help-line information in the app. We do not read your chats ourselves for this, and we do not contact anyone on your behalf.
5 Retention and deleting your data
We keep your data while your account exists. You can erase it yourself at any time in the app under Settings › Privacy & your data › Delete everything. This permanently deletes, right away:
- Your account and sign-in record
- Your boyfriend, chats, memories, running note and interests
- His portrait, pictures, voice notes and any picture you uploaded
- Your coin balance and usage records
Encrypted backups kept by our database provider may hold copies for a limited time (up to 30 days) before they are overwritten. Purchase records held by Google Play, the App Store and RevenueCat are kept by them under their own policies. Cancel any subscription separately in your store settings. If you cannot open the app, you can ask us to delete your account at the account-deletion page. You can also use Start over in Settings to remove just your boyfriend, chats and memories.
6 Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR in the EU and UK, in California, and in Australia), you may have the right to access, correct, export and delete your data, and to withdraw consent. In the app, Download my data gives you a copy of your chats, memories and settings. For any other request, contact dslrlabstech@gmail.com.
7 Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections, stored in a private, access-controlled database and storage, and our servers hold the keys to the AI services so they never reach your phone. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
8 Changes to this policy
We will update this page when what we collect or how we use it changes, and note the date of the most recent revision.
